‘Tis the season to be crafting (and drinking)! Luckily, this article will give you a handful of ways to do plenty of both. We talked about how you can recycle all your wine bottles in the Fall, and now I’m here with even more ideas to keep you occupied through these next few frigid months. So crack open a bottle of wine, and let’s get crafting!

What once held your delicious wine can now hold decorative plants, ornaments and more! This is a great decoration any time of year, but you can also spruce it up for the holidays with a little bit of white paint and Epsom salt on your bottles. Top each one off with some sparkly garnishes, and you’ll have some wonderfully cozy decorations for every room in your home.

Seasonal depression is real, my friends. While this is far from a cure, it can help shine a little light in the bleak cold that is wintertime. A little greenery can go a long way any time of year, but it can work some extra magic when you don’t have a lot of other plants around. My advice: grab yourself a few succulents. They need way less water and are very hard to kill.

… Unless you are me, but that’s a story for another time!

Something you may not realize off the bat is that wine bottles can make for unique and beautiful light fixtures. Pick your favorite twinkling lights to fill the bottles as a base, and then let your creative juices flow! You can even hook a lightbulb up to the top and have a one-of-a-kind lamp to set up in your home year-round.

These little guys are great add-ons to the holiday cheer! On top of being absolutely adorable, this project is also very easy and can be a fun activity for the whole family. Hot chocolate for the kiddos and wine for the adults–because you have to get more bottles somehow, right?–and you’re in for a fun family night! The best part is you don’t have to stop at snowmen. You can fill your rooms with little Santas, reindeers, the Grinch and more! Whether you’re looking for a cost-effective gift or a unique way to decorate your home for the holidays, these DIY projects are fairly simple to complete and a lot of fun to do. And with your Bright Cellars subscription, you won’t even need to leave your house to gather your wine supplies!

Until next time, cheers!
