3 Delectable Wine Recipes to Try

Looking for your next recipe? Why not try a new wine recipe? There is a huge variety of different wines out there. On top of that range, there’s also a good selection of recipes you can make from these different wines. Here are a few different wine recipes you can try this holiday season.

  1. Red Wine Hot Chocolate
  • Add to saucepan over low-medium heat:
    • Cocoa powder
    • Sugar
    • Salt
    • Cinnamon (if you so please!)
  • Stir in ΒΌ cup milk
  • ~whisk!~ until warm
  • Add wine
  • ENJOY!

2) Mulled Wine

  • You’ll need:
    • 1 Orange
    • 10 Whole Cloves
    • 1 c Orange Juice
    • 1/2 c sugar
    • 1/2 c Cranberries
    • 1 Bottle of Dry Red Wine
    • Cinnamon sticks (1-2)
  • Cut orange in half, quarter, peel and set aside half of the orange’s rinds for garnish, push 2-3 cloves into remaining outer skin
  • In a large pot, combine orange juice, sugar, cinnamon sticks, orange quarters with cloves, & cranberries. Boil for 15-20 minutes, cook until thickened and reduced by half
  • Turn to low to simmer, and add wine
  • Simmer until Wine is heated through, DO NOT BOIL.
  • Garnish with orange peel, and serve warm.

3. Rosemary Pear Sparkler

  • You’ll need:
    • 1 sprig of Rosemary
    • Prosecco
    • 2 pears pureed and peeled
    • 1/2 c Honey
    • 1/2 c Water
  • Create the Rosemary Simple Syrup, boil the water & honey in a saucepan, cook until honey dissolves
  • Remove from heat, add Rosemary sprig, steep for 2 hours
  • To create drink, add 1 oz of the syrup, 1 oz of puree, then top off the glass with Prosecco
  • Garnish with Rosemary spring, and ENJOY!
