Woman of the Week: Kyle Brisendine

Meet Kyle! We loved hearing about Kyle’s unique profession and her impact on the environment and the health of people.

Kyle works as Farm Manager of a small farm that raises grass-fed beef and lamb and pastured poultry.

“My parents started grass-based farming over thirty years ago and I am proud to be carrying on the tradition.

Today we work to grow good food that is good for you and the environment. We also strive to make quality meat more accessible by opening our on-farm shop and offering smaller quantities. ”

Favorite Book: “Wyoming Summer -Mary O’Hara”
Favorite Beverage: “English Breakfast Tea”

What are you passionate about? “Restoring the land and leaving it better than I found it. Soil health is so important to being able to grow good food that is packed with the essential nutrients our bodies need to thrive.”

What do you do really, really well? “Controlling chaos. My jobs require me to be able to juggle multiple things at once and change plans quickly.”

If you could do anything with your time (regardless of obligations and finances), what would you do?  “Farming and traveling. I love what I do, but I also love the chance to get away and see new things. Bonus points if it’s traveling to see other farms!”
