Woman of the Week: Pamela Delgado

Babes, meet Pamela Delgado! Pamela is the founder of Rawly Bold, an online store created to inspire motivate and empower women and some funds are donated to charities. Founded in October 2017 in Brooklyn, NY, Rawly Bold features ethically made and handprinted pieces.

Pamela was kind enough to share her story with us.

“After college, I started working for a Brazilian cosmetic bag and jewelry display company in Los Angeles, CA where I ran the sales operations and managed key accounts. I really enjoyed it and thought I could eventually do it for myself. I moved to New York City to pursue a career in not knowing my life was soon going to change.

A year and a half later, I met my man and we started a family and I made a switch to the medical field. I’ve always been a salesgirl, especially if I believe in the product. So, I started doing sales for an outpatient radiology practice in NYC where I learned that other reps were making substantially more money than I was.

I had conversations with my higher up three times and was told, no. The third time did it for me. I knew I had to take matters into my own hands and create the life I want because it was clear that nobody was going to give it to me. So, as a fashion lover who was experienced in e-commerce, it was natural for me to start my own online store. I wanted to do something positive and that gave back since things had become so negative so, I figured why not inspire, motivate and empower women through fashion and accessories.”

Thus, Rawly Bold was born!

Pamela also answered our favorite questions, of course!

Favorite Book: “The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho”
Favorite Beverage: “Depends on my mood. If we’re talking wine it’ll be Caymus”
What are you passionate about? “I am passionate about instilling positivity and inspiration to those around us. I feel like things have become consistently negative and despite that, we can continue to thrive and be great human beings in today’s society.”

What do you do really, really well? “Dance! I love it. Any genre too. It makes me happy. It relieves my stress. Sometimes when I’m overwhelmed and need time to myself I’ll go dancing and leave it all on the dance floor.”

If you could do anything with your time (regardless of obligations and finances), what would you do? Travel the world! I love to travel and have been to a few places already. Each place I’ve been to has impacted me in some shape or form. You learn so much by experiencing other cultures and history. It’s different from reading about places than to actually be living and seeing them. The aromas, the food, the abundance of languages and cultures, I love it all. So much to learn and take in.”
